I feel it is my duty to give each and every student a chance to become an accomplished farrier. Any graduate of the school may call or come by for further information or upgrading his knowledge in farriery.
Tom McNew, Owner
 Tom has been shoeing horses for over thirty-four years and followed the saddle-bred circuit for nine years. He has shod some of the finest horses in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. For the last six years he has been shoeing Quarter and Thoroughbred horses.

 

Lane 
Lane McNew is the son of Tom McNew. Lane apprenticed under Eddie Williams of Lexington, KY for two summers and attended Danny Ward's Eastern School of Farriering.

Lane is currently shoeing Thoroughbreds. He is a member of the Journeyman's Horseshoers of America and is certified in the AFA.

Our forge room is 25 X 40 with eleven forges that will provide each student with an individual forge, work bench, vice, coal bin, anvil and all the tools needed in learning to trim and shoe horses and to make the different types of corrective shoes. Student in Forge Room
   
Mountain Gadsden enjoys a usually moderate climate; rarely experiencing long extremes of hot or cold days.
   
Bunkhouse Our dormitory is a modern home with 1500 square feet of space.  The dormitory provides for sixteen male students and four female students.  It has everything you need with all the modern conveniences for personal comfort.
